I have always loved and believed in therapeutic touch. Since receiving massage therapy from a young age, I knew that I wanted to help people feel better through hands on therapy. Miraculous things happen when you listen to what your body is trying to tell you through your tissues.
In August 2008 I graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, and since then have continued to expand my knowledge in Myofascial Release therapy. I’m currently taking a course which integrates Craniosacral Therapy and Myofasical Release therapy. I’ve also taken dissection courses that opened my eyes to how the human body looks like underneath the skin.
During treatment, I treat tissues with a combination of Swedish, Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue, Petrissage, and stretches. While working with patients, communication is important, so don’t hesitate to let me know if anything is uncomfortable.
Being a therapist requires maintenance; physically and mentally. I swim, go for runs sporadically, and have recently started yoga and pilates. There are always 3-5 books on the go, and my ipod makes me feel like I have a theme song for every activity.
When I’m not at work, you may see me window shopping for something fabulous to wear or cook! I can’t stay away from the smell of fresh roasted coffee beans, and my goal for the next few months is to get a bike, and learn how to rock climb.
If I had a super power, I would have MRI vision.
